AWS Transit Gateway is a network transit hub that simplifies network architecture by connecting VPCs and on-premises networks. It supports multiple route tables for traffic segregation, enables multi-region peering, and provides centralized network management. The service features automatic scaling of bandwidth, supports multicast traffic, and enables detailed flow logs through CloudWatch. Transit Gateway includes integration with Direct Connect, supports VPN connections, and enables cross-account networking through Resource Access Manager.
