Azure Event Hubs is a big data streaming platform and event ingestion service. It supports real-time data ingestion from multiple sources, provides automatic scaling through throughput units, and enables capture for data archival. The service features AMQP and Kafka protocol support, enables geo-disaster recovery, and provides dedicated clusters for enhanced control. Event Hubs includes built-in metrics and diagnostics, supports schema registry for data governance, and enables integration with Azure Stream Analytics.
